Around the turn of the 19th century, Tiffany & Co. was famous for its lavish use of diamonds in their jewelry production.
In the Walters collection is an exquisite diamond necklace featuring 265 round, old-cut diamonds set in platinum and gold which was fashioned by Tiffany. This necklace, from our Museum Store, is a lovely adaptation reminiscent of the Tiffany piece and features quality cut crystal set into silver- plated pewter. The pendant measures approximately 1 ¼ inches long and hangs on an 18 inch rhodium- plated chain with a sturdy lobster claw clasp.
