Lapis Lazuli and Pearl Necklace
Regular Price: $89.95
Lapis Lazuli, the “sapphire” of the ancients, was favored for its deep blue color, often flecked with “gold” (iron pyrite). The Egyptians regarded lapis lazuli as a sacred stone of celestial origin and a symbol for truth. Regalia made of gold and lapis lazuli* was believed to place the wearer under the protection of the sun and heaven. A bestseller in our Museum Store, this necklace features genuine lapis lazuli tubes, freshwater pearls, gold-plated pewter beads and a lobster-claw clasp. 16” long.
*Each piece is made with genuine semi-precious stones and no two are alike so color may vary slightly between each piece.
