This 500 piece puzzle exhibits the beautiful stained glass windows of John La Farge (American, 1835-1910) which reflected the Gilded Age’s fascination with medieval art and craftsmanship. The industrial revolution had made inexpensive, mass-produced glass available to anyone, but art glass remained an emblem of wealth and good taste. This gorgeous window Peacocks and Peonies II (1882) was commissioned by Frederick Lothrop Ames, a railroad magnate who had them installed in the vast, baronial hall of his Boston house.
Assembled puzzle measures 18 x 27 inches in size. Not suitable for children ages 3 and under.
