Inspired by a piece by the Muisca, also called the Chibcha, the indigenous people and culture of the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, Colombia in the collections of the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library, this frog pin can also be worn as a pendant!
Frogs, meaning “food from the Sun” in Muysccubun, and toads, were importatnt animals in the concept of nature and the relation with the spiritual world for the Musica.
