Born in Paris in 1834, Léon Bonvin drew inspiration from his surroundings. By 1860, he turned exclusively to the use of watercolor, creating landscapes and still lifes with remarkable luminosity. The Walters has the largest collection of his works in the world. Featured here are five of his works along with recipes for a complete five course meal.
